Business Development Manager

In its efforts to grow larger, reach a greater audience, and fully self-sustain its operations, LevantX is looking for a volunteer well versed in Business Development and Resource Acquisition.

In your role as Business Development and Resource Acquisition Manager, you will work in the Growth team and be involved in developing, navigating, implementing, and maintaining revenue streams in the start-up and NGO worlds!

Requirements

  • A background in the startup / non-profit domain, specifically in fundraising and grant acquisition. Experience in creating and developing subscription-based business models.

  • Experience with contemporary Middle Eastern affairs, humanitarianism and geopolitics.

  • Experience in growth and business development.

  • Understanding of the cultural and political sensitivities concerning the Middle East.

  • Fluent in English and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), as well as Google Office tools (docs, sheets, slides, forms).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Completing thorough research on all available grants, sponsorships, funds, and other financial assistance for the development of LevantX, from institutional donors to private companies and foundations.

  • Working alongside the senior management team to apply for proposals, which includes assisting in the creation of value proposition pitch decks, and budgets for applied proposals.

  • Completing thorough research on allocated markets and social venture capital firms.

  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.

  • Discussing promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department

  • Working side by side with colleagues in the Growth team to reach targets and assisting in the development of business models concerning diverse and complex markets.

  • Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

  • Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.

  • Attending conferences and meetings regularly between staff members to discuss relevant affairs.

  • Thinking strategically and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.

  • Working strategically and carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes.
